Updates

Now that I've finally organized my site, I'm hoping to make more frequent updates here. I am on a photo-taking kick and really enjoying exploring this new medium. Photography is really hard for me to grasp conceptually, for some reason - I never know how to answer the question, "What makes a good photo?" Which is a difficult state to be in when one is trying to take good photos!

Here is an example of a photo I really like, but I'm not sure what makes it compelling. The depth of focus? The subject matter? The composition?
